Since blogging is fresh in my mind, there are going to be numerous updates in the next couple of days to get this website started off. Weekly (hopefully) there will be updated power rankings of the leagues. Here are the power rankings for 7/15/2009:
1. Eastside Expos 18-0 (CCWA)
The only undefeated team in all of the wiffle ball leagues currently followed by Wiffle Blog, is coming off 17-0, and 8-0 routs of the Tigers.
2. Reds 19-5 (HRL)
Sweeping the Dodgers on Monday, the Reds show that they now can pitch any of four people. Dr. Seuss (1.30 ERA), Spoon (2.39 ERA), Palpatine (2.47 ERA), and Richard (throwing a no-hitter on Monday)
3. Belly Itchers 18-2 (KWL)
Back-to-Back Champions look well on their way to another K-Zoo Wiffle League Championship. Adam Bontrager is hitting a monstrous .443, 21 HR, 41 RBI, and AJ Tate is 5-2, 0.38 ERA, 14.0 K/6.
4. Red Sox 17-6 (HRL)
The defending Hopkins Champs are back with the top two batting averages in the HRL with both Tugboat, and The Man at .456. Those two combined have 55 HR, and 105 RBI (more than most teams in the HRL).
5. Rose Valley Red Sox 12-2 (CCWA)
The Red Sox have won their last 9 games (however it appears they are currently losing in a suspendid game).
6. Braves 18-6 (HRL)
The Braves are 3-3 in Intercity Games against the Reds, Indians, and The X.
7. Indians 11-3 (HFWB)
The Indians are winners of 9 straight including a win against the Rays 3-0.
8. Monday Night 40s 12-6 (KWL)
Recently swept by The Lemons, The 40s are 2-2 against The Belly Itchers this year.
9. Phillies (HRL)
Pitching wins championships and The Phillies have the 2nd and 3rd best ERA in the HRL with The Kid (0.57 ERA), and Shirls (0.87 ERA).
10. Donkeys (WATL)
Chris Riggs is leading the league in HR (11), and RBI (24).
