First Post

National Wiffleball League Association will be taking a digger in October so hopefully here is an alternative to the website. Starting off, I will be following these leagues (more will be added later)...

HRL: Twin Cities

Columbia Cowlitz Wiffleball Association

Kalamazoo Wiffle League

Wiffle Atlanta

Hess Field Wiffle Ball League

I personally consider these the best wiffle leagues in the nation. Updates should be coming frequently with results, commentary, and everything wiffleball.

The first thing I would like to do in this blog is to promote Wifflin' for Wishes which is being held in Hopkins, MN (west side of the Twin Cities). The tournament is great fun, always has a large turn out, and it is for a good cause. Here is some information for the tournament taken from the tournament website:

WHERE: Hopkins Central Park, 101 17th Ave S, Hopkins, MN | View Map

WHEN: Saturday, August 15th, 2009, 10:00 am

TEAM ENTRY FEE: $100 (3 to 5 players)

ENTRY DEADLINE: August 10th, 2009 (T-shirts must be ordered in advance, so priority will be given to entries received on or before July 12th)

WHAT YOU GET: Participants are guaranteed to play at least 4 games during the day’s competition, and will receive a tournament t-shirt (first teams to register, first served in the case of limited supply/late entry). All necessary game equipment will be supplied. There will be food & beverage concessions available for purchase, raffles, and and live entertainment! Individual and team prizes will also be awarded.

The tournament has seen steady growth since it’s inception in 2005 and so far has raised nearly $10,000 to help grant the wishes of Minnesota children with life-threatening medical conditions. It’s a fantastic event for a fantastic cause, so it doesn’t matter how skilled or unskilled you are, we need YOU to come play a kids’ game for a fun-filled day to make this event a success!

You can find more information HERE including rules, past results, and videos of past W4W
